Antlers are a naturally renewable resource. Elk, deer, and moose shed their antlers each spring as part of their annual growth. We source our antlers primarily from Jackson Wyoming's National Elk Refuge. The refuge leads to a concentration of animals as they gather together to survive the winter, this also leads to an abundance of shed antlers in the area as the males almost exclusively complete their annual shedding process on the refuge before leaving to return to the high country for the summer. Each spring the Boy Scouts of America pick up the antlers and sell them at a charity auction, our primary material sourcing event, the proceeds from which go back to supporting the Elk Refuge and their year of Scouting.
